Privacy policy
Effective date: October 7, 2026
Last updated: October 7, 2026
LiftMod is operated by TestosterOne Labs LLC, doing business as LiftMod (“LiftMod,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you use the LiftMod mobile application, website, cloud services, coach portal, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@liftmod.app. For general support or account deletion assistance, contact support@liftmod.app.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use LiftMod and which optional features you enable.
Account and authentication information
If you create or sign in to a LiftMod account, we may process information such as:
- your email address;
- account identifiers;
- identifiers provided by an authentication provider, such as Apple or Google;
- authentication and security information needed to maintain your account; and
- account settings and preferences.
We do not ask you to send us your password, authentication codes, or payment-card information.
Training and workout information
LiftMod may process information you enter or generate while using the Services, including:
- training programs and exercises;
- workout history;
- loads, repetitions, sets, and rep ranges;
- RPE, RIR, and other effort ratings;
- velocity measurements;
- notes;
- program rules and progressions;
- exercise customizations;
- workout and set recordings; and
- other information you choose to include in your training records.
Some of this information may be considered health-related, sensitive, or consumer health data under certain laws.
Videos, images, files, and imports
If you choose to use these features, LiftMod may process:
- videos you record for individual sets;
- photos or images you select;
- spreadsheets or other files you import;
- program information extracted from imported content; and
- information necessary to associate a recording or file with the applicable workout, exercise, or program.
Local recordings remain on your device unless you use a feature that uploads them to LiftMod’s cloud services.
Connected-device information
If you connect a compatible training device, such as a RepOne tracker, LiftMod may use Bluetooth and receive measurements such as repetition counts and bar velocity.
You can review or edit captured values before or after they are added to your training log, as permitted by the app.
Subscription information
If you purchase a subscription through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, the applicable store processes your payment.
LiftMod may receive information such as:
- a transaction or purchase reference;
- subscription product and plan;
- subscription status;
- renewal or expiration information; and
- information necessary to verify and restore purchases.
We do not receive your full payment-card number from Apple or Google.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you provide in your message, together with any attachments or diagnostic information you choose to send.
Please do not send passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card numbers, or other information that is not necessary for us to assist you.
Technical, operational, and diagnostic information
We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Services, such as:
- IP or network information;
- request timestamps;
- app version and platform;
- service errors;
- authentication and account identifiers where necessary;
- server and infrastructure logs; and
- information used to investigate misuse, security incidents, or service failures.
Optional product analytics
Where enabled, LiftMod may use PostHog for optional product analytics.
When applicable, analytics are intended to collect limited feature-use and diagnostic events using an opaque identifier rather than the contents of your workouts, videos, or free-text notes.
Session replay is disabled.
Where required, we ask for consent before enabling optional analytics. You may change your analytics preference through the app where that control is available.
Operational logging required to operate and secure LiftMod is separate from optional analytics.
2. Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, LiftMod may request permission to access:
- Camera, to record workout or set videos;
- Microphone, to include audio in recordings;
- Photos or files, when you choose content to import or use;
- Bluetooth, to connect to compatible training devices; and
- other device capabilities necessary for a feature you expressly choose to use.
You can manage these permissions through your device settings.
Disabling a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from functioning but should not prevent unrelated features from working where technically practical.
3. Local Storage, Cloud Backup, and Synchronization
LiftMod can store certain training records and recordings locally on your device.
Signing in to an account does not by itself mean that every local recording or item is uploaded to the cloud.
Automatic cloud backup is a separate feature that you choose to enable. You may also be able to initiate synchronization manually.
When cloud backup is enabled, LiftMod may upload account-linked training records and eligible saved videos so that they can be synchronized, restored, or made available through other features you request.
A pending or failed upload is not a completed backup. You should keep independent copies of information or videos that are important to you.
4. Coach Sharing
LiftMod lets you authorize a coach to view information associated with your account.
When you invite a coach, the coach may be able to access the training records, notes, and eligible backed-up videos included within your sharing permission.
You may revoke a coach’s access through the app.
Revocation prevents new authorized access after it takes effect. However:
- a previously issued temporary video link may remain usable for up to approximately five minutes;
- information already viewed cannot be unseen; and
- copies independently downloaded, exported, recorded, or retained by another person cannot be remotely recalled by LiftMod.
Coaches are responsible for handling information they receive in accordance with applicable law and their obligations to the athlete.
5. Artificial Intelligence Features
LiftMod may offer AI-assisted features for purposes such as:
- generating a training program;
- importing or interpreting a program;
- editing program information; and
- classifying or matching exercises.
When you intentionally use an AI feature, LiftMod sends the information reasonably necessary to perform that request through our backend infrastructure to our AI service provider.
Depending on the request, this information may include:
- your instructions;
- program or exercise information;
- selected images;
- spreadsheet or file content;
- relevant program context; and
- exercise names.
Using an AI feature does not automatically send your complete workout history or entire video library.
AI-generated content may be incorrect, incomplete, unsuitable, or inconsistent with your intent. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated programs, exercises, loads, volume, progression rules, and other output before relying on them.
Our own retention periods for AI-related data are separate from retention performed by an AI provider. Provider-side processing and retention are governed by the provider’s applicable contractual and technical settings.
6. How We Use Information
We use information as reasonably necessary to:
- create and maintain accounts;
- provide workout planning and logging features;
- synchronize and back up information when requested;
- store and deliver eligible cloud video;
- connect supported training devices;
- process AI requests that you initiate;
- provide coach-sharing features;
- verify subscription status and entitlements;
- personalize app settings and preferences;
- provide customer support;
- diagnose and correct technical problems;
- maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse;
- comply with applicable law and lawful requests;
- enforce our Terms of Service; and
- improve the Services using optional analytics where enabled and permitted.
We do not use workout videos or workout contents for behavioral advertising.
7. Legal Bases Where Applicable
Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR require us to identify a legal basis, we process personal information depending on the circumstances:
- Performance of a contract: when processing is necessary to provide the Services you request.
- Consent: when you affirmatively enable processing that requires consent, including certain analytics, device permissions, or processing of information considered sensitive or health-related where applicable.
- Legitimate interests: for purposes such as maintaining security, preventing abuse, troubleshooting, and improving the reliability of the Services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent prospectively. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Certain core functionality may no longer be available if the information required to provide that functionality cannot be processed.
8. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients.
Infrastructure providers
We use Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) for services including hosting, authentication-related infrastructure, databases, storage, and operational functionality.
LiftMod currently uses AWS infrastructure located in the US East (Northern Virginia) region. This does not mean every provider or every processing activity occurs only in that location.
Apple and Google
Apple and Google may provide:
- app distribution;
- subscription and purchase processing;
- authentication services; and
- related platform functionality.
Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
AI providers
When you intentionally use an AI-powered feature, we may provide the information necessary for that request to OpenAI or another disclosed AI processor used by LiftMod.
We do not authorize our AI provider to use LiftMod API customer content to train its general-purpose models except where we have expressly agreed otherwise and appropriately disclosed that change.
Analytics providers
If optional analytics are enabled, PostHog may process the limited analytics and diagnostic information described above.
Coaches
We disclose training records and eligible videos to a coach only when access has been authorized through LiftMod’s sharing functionality or otherwise at your direction.
Legal and security disclosures
We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to:
- comply with law, regulation, legal process, or lawful governmental request;
- investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- enforce our agreements;
- protect the safety, rights, or property of LiftMod, our users, or others; or
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Business transactions
If LiftMod or its operator is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
9. Sale and Advertising
LiftMod does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
LiftMod does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws.
If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any controls or notices required by law before implementing the change.
10. Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to operational, security, contractual, and legal requirements.
Our current intended retention practices include the following:
- Cloud training records and saved programs: generally remain associated with your account until you delete them or your account.
- Local information: remains on your device until removed by you, the operating system, or an app feature that specifically deletes it.
- Cloud workout videos: kept while your account has subscribed access. After subscribed access ends, each cloud video is kept for 90 days from the last day it was covered by that access; the app shows the deletion date and warns you before deletion, and subscribing again before that date keeps the video. A video you delete yourself, or your account’s deletion, removes it sooner, subject to the backup and deletion-record periods below. Copies kept on your device have their own lifetime.
- Raw AI request and provider-output objects stored by LiftMod: currently configured with an approximately two-day storage lifecycle.
- Intermediate AI candidate objects: currently configured with an approximately one-day lifecycle.
- Certain AI failure artifacts: may be retained for up to 90 days for debugging and reliability purposes.
- Production operational logs: currently configured for approximately 30 days unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for security, investigation, or legal compliance.
- Recovery backups following account deletion: may contain earlier records for up to 35 days.
- Limited deletion records: may be retained for approximately 40 days to prevent unintended restoration of an account that has been deleted.
Deletion from active storage and lifecycle-managed infrastructure may occur asynchronously rather than instantaneously.
Third-party service providers may maintain separate retention periods as described in their applicable terms, contractual arrangements, or technical documentation.
We may also retain limited information where necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or establish or defend legal claims.
11. Account and Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your LiftMod cloud account:
- in the app through More → Account → Delete cloud account; or
- by emailing support@liftmod.app if you no longer have access to the app.
We may require reasonable verification that you control the account before completing an email-based request.
Account deletion removes the LiftMod cloud account and associated live cloud records managed by LiftMod, including applicable:
- backed-up training records;
- saved program information;
- sharing records; and
- app-managed cloud workout videos.
Deletion may be performed through a resumable process, so infrastructure cleanup can continue after account access has been disabled.
Deleting your cloud account does not automatically delete:
- local workout history or programs stored on your device;
- local recordings;
- information you previously exported;
- copies downloaded or retained by a coach or another recipient;
- files you independently saved through another provider, including Google Drive where applicable; or
- information we are legally required to retain.
Uninstalling LiftMod does not delete your LiftMod cloud account.
Deleting your LiftMod account also does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled through the store through which they were purchased.
Additional deletion instructions are available at liftmod.app/delete-account.
12. International Processing
LiftMod and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate contractual, organizational, or other legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.
The location of LiftMod’s primary AWS infrastructure does not guarantee that all processing by every service provider occurs in that same jurisdiction.
13. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or misuse.
These measures include encryption in transit and server-side encryption for applicable cloud storage.
LiftMod cloud storage is not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Ordinary local app files may rely on security controls provided by your device and operating system rather than an additional LiftMod-controlled encryption layer.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device, email account, platform account, and LiftMod authentication credentials.
14. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, including rights to:
- access information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- obtain a portable copy of certain information;
- request deletion;
- restrict certain processing;
- object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent;
- opt out of certain uses;
- appeal certain decisions regarding a privacy request;
- use an authorized agent where permitted; and
- complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection authority.
To submit a request, contact privacy@liftmod.app.
We may need to verify your identity or account ownership before fulfilling a request.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You may also manage certain choices directly through LiftMod, including:
- cloud backup;
- coach access;
- device permissions;
- optional analytics; and
- account deletion.
15. Consumer Health and Sensitive Information
Training measurements and related information may be classified as consumer health data, sensitive data, or special-category personal data under certain laws.
Where applicable law requires separate consent, authorization, or a separate consumer-health-data notice, we will provide that notice or obtain the required permission before engaging in the relevant processing.
LiftMod does not sell consumer health data.
If LiftMod is offered to residents of a jurisdiction requiring a separate consumer health data privacy policy, that separate notice should be reviewed together with this Privacy Policy.
16. Children and Age Requirements
LiftMod is not intended for children under 18.
You must satisfy the age requirements described in our Terms of Service to create an account or use account-based Services.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to LiftMod in violation of these requirements, contact privacy@liftmod.app.
17. Third-Party Services
The Services may interact with third-party products or services, including Apple, Google, AWS, OpenAI, PostHog, compatible hardware providers, or services that you choose for importing or exporting information.
Those parties may process information under their own privacy policies and terms when acting independently from LiftMod.
LiftMod is not responsible for the privacy practices of an independent third-party service.
18. Website Tracking
The public LiftMod landing page does not currently use advertising trackers.
If we materially change our use of website analytics, advertising technologies, or cookies, we will update this Policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.
Normal hosting, networking, security, and server infrastructure may still generate operational records necessary to serve and protect the website.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, our providers, our practices, or applicable law.
We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made.
If a change materially affects your rights or how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law, which may include notice within the app, on the website, or by email.
